Do you believe that inflammatory, autoimmune, metabolic, and psychological diseases appear out of the blue, for no particular reason at all? Or that they are predominantly genetic? And that the only thing you can do is take some symptom-managing drugs and hope for the best?
So did I, but I now believe that this is the biggest misconception in conventional health care today. Inflammatory, autoimmune, metabolic, and psychological diseases basically include every modern disease known to man, such as type 1 and type 2 diabetes, ME/chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, GERD, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, endometriosis, periodontal disease, autism spectrum disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, asthma, bipolar disorder, lupus, psoriasis, histamine intolerance, Hashimoto’s, Grave’s disease, IBS, multiple sclerosis, depression, anxiety, carpal tunnel syndrome, acne, cardiovascular disease, and even cancer.
Almost every condition whose prevalence is increasing is not strictly genetic and has one or several underlying causes. Once you find what they are, you might be able to do something about them. I found this out myself when I developed a rare inflammatory condition with no available treatment options. Not content with giving up, I eventually found the root causes and a way to treat them. The first factors I found myself, and hired a skilled practitioner to find the rest. Today I am symptom-free. Along with my rare condition, I got rid of nearly 60 (!) other symptoms of inflammatory origin. Read my story here.
My name is Annie Pettersson and I’m a molecular biologist with a PhD in the field of medicine (academic credentials here). I have decided that I want to help other people full-time. I wish to give hope, educate people on how to improve their health and help them find their underlying causes. I work with clients from all over the world both through video chat and in-person consultations.
I’m passionate about research and will write about cutting edge medical science, and about important science that has been forgotten. I’m also interested in experimental treatments and biohacking. I’m dedicated to fill this website with articles about
- the causes of disease
- how to live to stay healthy
- paleolithic and low carb diets and lifestyle
- genetics and epigenetics
- the role of mitochondria and oxygen
- success stories
- and much more.
